Reflecting on 2021 with Gail, Director of Care

With 2021 nearing an end, we sat down with Director of Care Gail Millar to reflect on the year’s challenges and achievements:

What challenges did you face in 2021?

As a company we’ve successfully tackled any challenge that we faced this year; the majority of which were attributed to the ongoing pandemic.

I had to keep up to date with all the changes that the government were bringing in and how these would impact on our business, however I was able to provide ongoing virtual support to the managers about their branches.

We also worked hard to ensure we could still get people trained to enable us to continue to deliver the care service with dignity and respect.

What achievement(s) are you most proud of this year?

I’m exceptionally proud of our managers and their commitment to the service users and to us as a company.

I’m also proud that we made sure people were still getting trained to a high standard especially now that we have an accreditation of SVQ in health and social care.

What are you thankful for this year?

I’m always thankful for the commitment and dedication of our staff and the understanding of our service users and their families.

What are your hopes for 2022?

2022 will see the ongoing growth of both SRS Care and Kaizen Training as we aim to widen our SVQ offering by achieving accreditation in those areas which are not related to the health and social care sector.
